Babysitting services for your little wildlings!
Servicing Byron Bay to the Gold Coast region.

Parenting can be a wild ride. Everyday is a journey into the challenging and unknown. As a mother of two, I know my Little Wild Things have bought me more joy than ever imagined. Parenting is the most fulfilling, exhausting and mind blowing job you will ever have.

There are days when pants are optional, there are tantrums and tears over incorrectly cut sandwiches, and glitter and glue in places you didn't know possible! (And all of this before 8am). I truly believe that in these 'uh oh' moments, laughter is the best medicine, taking time out for yourself is a close second.
This is where Little Wild Things comes in to play, literally!

Do you need a break?

Are you visiting the area on HOLIDAY? Getting MARRIED or attending a WEDDING? Seeking a regular BABYSITTER? Want to join that class you have been promising yourself? Have a cheeky night out with your partner or friends, DATE NIGHT? Or simply, just sit in silence with a cup of tea?

Look no further, we are all either qualified MOTHERS, or have years of experience in Childcare and early childhood education. This is babysitting with a difference! Why? Because we know exactly how important it is to fill your cup too and we have all the skills and experience to take the utmost care of your 'littlies' while you relax.

Kelly

Hi, My name is Kell. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Arts/Education, Early Childhood/Primary, have over ten years experience in long daycare centres, nannying and babysitting; and two munchkins that have taught me more about the needs of children than any of the above. If I could describe myself in five words it would be determined, nurturing, thoughtful, patient and particular. The values I instil in my own children; kindness, independence, positivity, confidence, acceptance and resilience. Little Wild Things goal is to ensure that the families we care for are well looked after in a happy and playful, yet relaxed and warm environment and I ensure to uphold these values! Looking forward to meeting you all soon.

Lisa

Hello, my name is Lisa, I am mumma to two beautiful, energetic little boys, Oscar and Xander. I have been in Australia for 12 years (originally from the USA), and recently moved to Pottsville from Sydney's Northern Beaches. My professional background is in Healthcare Communications, however since becoming a mum I have done various nannying jobs to fit in with my lifestyle. I love ALL children! I believe nurturing them and teaching them compassion are key to the future of a peaceful planet, children also remind me how important it is to stay playful in our busy parenting lives. I am excited to be part of the Little Wild Thing’s team and offer other parents some free time.

Kirby

Hello families my name is Kirby. I’m a mum to fairy child toddler, Frankie. Im also a preschool teacher, and a student completing my final year of Bachelor of Education birth-12 years. I have over 10 years experience in long day care centres and preschools, but none of that prepared me for the crazy ride of motherhood! Although some days seem long, the years are short, and Frankie reminds me how important it is to slow down, sniff those flowers, follow the butterfly, and look around to see the beauty in what's around us.

Rachel

Hello families, my name is Rachel! While I am not yet ‘mum’ to any of my own little wild things, I take my job of Super Aunty very seriously. I have just finished my Bachelor Degree in Health Science and Master's of Speech Pathology. I have over 10 years experience in babysitting and private nannying. First aid and CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis training and WWCC, working with children's check's and blue Card. I have found that children have just as much to teach us (if not more), as we have to teach them. I aim to make parents feel completely at ease, trusting that their most important creation is in patient and understanding hands. I look forward to meeting you and your families!

Jess

Hi I'm Jess, I emigrated from the uk in 2015 with my husband to be and my 2 young children Mia and Max. I have become so settled here in Pottsville, it's a great community and I love being outside with my children exploring and learning new things about this amazing country. I am a qualified teacher and have over 10 years experience working with children. I chose this career as everyday brings something new, it is so rewarding in many ways but most of all its great to just have fun and be silly!

Jess A.

Hi, My name is Jess, when I am not looking after children, I teach Pilates including Mums n Bubs classes. I love working with children as they remind me to be curious, open, wild (not too wild) and free. It's a rewarding opportunity to be able to care for these growing personalities and to be able to give a parent in need the help that they require. I look forward to getting to know you and your family.

We have been blessed with 2 beautiful girls; Mia (6) and Freya (2) and have never been happier. I have had many childcare and educational roles over my career. Miriam

Hi, My name is Miriam, I am a Mother to two beautiful girls. I really enjoy the diversity that children bring to the table; their honesty, thoughtfulness and imaginations are definitely qualities I try to learn from. I have been involved with children on and off since I was a teenager, from babysitting, assisting in day care centres to working as a full time live-in nanny. I love being a part of Little Wild Things, and getting to know new families along the way. I have work experience as an AUSLAN (sign language) interpreter - mostly with primary and high school aged children. I previously have worked for a Child Care Company in Sydney - I worked in a whole range of different Childcare Centres and after school care programs with them. I also spent time working as a live in nanny in England for a year, before I had my own Little Wild Things!!

Jane

I have been babysitting and working as a nanny for local families and families on holidays for a very long time in the area. Carina

Hi my name is Carina. I first started babysitting as a teenager in my tiny country town for local families. Throughout my university studies in Sydney I worked for a Nanny agency & did a range of Childcare jobs. From afternoon school care to Nanning and temp babysitting. I then held a permanent Nanny job for 2 years before heading to the UK to teach, travel & work. Whilst living in London I held a teaching job for 2 day's a week and a Nanning job for 3 day's a week with 3 children. On my return to Australia I continued to Nanny & Babysit whilst teaching. My last Nanny role finished in March. I cared for a beautiful boy from birth to 3 years of age. This role involved the occasional overnight stay (proxy parent role.) I now work as a temp Nanny for Little Wild things Agency. I look forward to meeting you and your precious families.

Kerri

Hey all, I am Kerri. I have a diploma in childhood education and care, I also hold a current first aid/CPR/asthma/anaphylaxis certificate and working with children's check. I have 11 years experience working with children in both a nanny and childcare setting, in Australia and overseas. I acknowledge that children have diverse family lives and in turn experience belonging, being and becoming in various ways. By working in partnerships with families, I aspire to encourage and support the children to actively engage in learning. Communicating closely with parents/carers has helped me to learn more about the children, what they need and how I can assist them with their day today routines. My hope for the children in my care is that the memories of their time with me to be safe, secure, respectful, positive, calming and reassuring. I enjoy singing, playing guitar and am also a qualified yoga teacher. I love to travel and love being by the beach.

Our Testimonials

"Real Professionals"
I manage a holiday home in Byron Bay and Booked Little Wild Things for my guests. My guests had six children between the ages of 1 and 9 years old. I did not personally meet the baby sitters, Kelly and Lisa but my guests were absolutely delighted with their services, arriving on time with big friendly smiles. The booking process with Gemma was very easy and straightforward. I would have no hesitation in booking LWT for future guests, Many Thanks

"Amazing service"
We were wrapped that Jess was available for a second booking, and we had another grown ups night out before heading home. we're so impressed with your service! Jess sent me a text message when she got the kids into bed at night, it was enough to put my mind at ease, I could relax and enjoy my evening without checking my phone every few minutes. A small detail but a very important one, so thoughtful. I can't say enough good things about you and will happily tell anyone who wants to know.

"Very delighted"
We were very delighted with the wonderful women Jess A and Lisa, who came to our aid with minding our little boy over the Easter period – thank you! Both Jess and Lisa were brilliant with him, we very comfortable leaving him in their capable hands. We will definitely be in touch in future for any babysitting needs.

"Felt completely at ease"
As it was the first time I've had a babysitter for my 6 month old I was very very nervous leading up to the evening, however once Samala arrived at our accommodation and took River into her arms I felt completely at ease. Samala kept me updated on the boys throughout the afternoon/evening which I really loved and it reassured me that they were having a great time. I'm still not sure how she managed to get both boys to bed with so much ease, me and my sister in law were in ore! Please pass on my sincere thanks to Samala. We will definitely be going through your babysitting service again in the future.

"Just like you do mum"
little Tex is four months old & Jett is 6yrs. She showed up early, listened and asked questions about Tex's bedtime routine, was wonderful with my boys and has a lovely gentle nature that my put my mind immediately to rest. Jett told me she read him stories and tucked him in 'just like you do mum'. Being a mum to young children herself, she clearly understands the anxiety that can sometimes come with leaving your children with a babysitter who isn't known to them or part of your family.
Jane.
Lisa was very professional
we used Kelly’s Babysitting service for the first time last week and we were very impressed. The lovely Lisa looked after our two year old daughter, who took to her straight away. Lisa was very professional and made us feel completely at ease within minutes; we knew our daughter would be in great hands. While we were on our date Lisa sent us a message to let us know how she was napping - which can be quite difficult to get her down some days!
Laura.
Kirby arrived early, with a bright smile on her face
and my children warmed to her instantly. It was great to know she has a daughter the same age as ours and knew exactly what to do. We did not hesitate to enjoy our night off and loved that she sent us a message to let us know our daughter was asleep. Thanks again Kirby.
Amanda.
Kelly is reliable, well priced and experienced
She looked after my 3 year old son all day for me last week, and when I got home from work, the house was clean and tidy, dinner was made, and the washing was folded (so I sat and had a cup of tea and relaxed!). All this and my son had a great day and keeps asking when she will be back to play with him! Her enthusiasm, imagination and energy are inspiring. She is reliable, well-priced and experienced, and I will definitely be recommending her to my friends.
Bianca.
Thanks so much for babysitting
my kids loved you and it was so nice to have a night out and know the kids were in great hands. I can't recommend you highly enough and will definitely be calling on you again for regular babysitting. Thank you. Sarah.
Drawn to her spirit
She engages with the children and my three girls are drawn to her spirit. Kelly is qualified and is currently undertaking studies in early childhood education.
Lisa.
Kelly is an amazing friendly reliable babysitter
who has cared for my two young children on several occasions. I have the highest confidence in her trustworthiness, judgement and maturity, and always feel relaxed after leaving my kids in her supervision. I highly recommend her professional babysitting services.
Rachel.
More than an excellent babysitter!
My 2 1/2 year daughter can be hesitant around new people but she instantly loved Kelly - maybe a bit too much. Now she has no trouble me leaving her with Kelly but screams when Kelly leaves! ❤️
Annabelle.
