Hi, I'm Kell, mother to Lola and Tully and brains behind Little Wild Things Babysitting.
I began this business venture to inspire parents to take time out for themselves. A client recently asked
me how Little Wild Things came about and I replied ‘I realised that so many of us forget about who we
are, what we love doing and what we want to become, in those first few years of parenthood’. I felt as
though my identity was altered slightly in becoming a mother and often wondered could I have it all?
Could I be a mother, a University student, a business owner, a wife, a cook, a cleaner (and all other
things!) and be damn good at it? Yes, I knew I could, and you can too!
Take that break, go back to study, join that class, further yourself in a way that makes you completely happy.
Happy parents make for a harmonious household.
I am currently studying a Bachelor of Arts/Education, Early Childhood/Primary, have over ten years experience in long daycare centres, nannying and babysitting and two munchkins that have taught me more about the needs of children than any of the above. If I could describe myself in five words it would be determined, nurturing, thoughtful, patient and particular. The values I instill in my own children; kindness, independence, positivity, confidence, acceptance and resilience. Little Wild Things goal is to ensure that the families we care for are well looked after in a happy and playful, yet relaxed and warm environment.
Looking forward to meeting you all soon
Hello, my name is Lisa, I am mumma to two beautiful, energetic little boys, Oscar and Xander. I have been in Australia for 12 years (originally from the USA), and recently moved to Pottsville from Sydney's Northern Beaches. My professional background is in Healthcare Communications, however since becoming a mum I have done various nannying jobs to fit in with my lifestyle. I love ALL children! I believe nurturing them and teaching them compassion are key to the future of a peaceful planet, children also remind me how important it is to stay playful in our busy parenting lives. I am excited to be part of Kelly's team and offer other parents some free time.
Hello families my name is Kirby. I’m a mum to fairy child toddler, Frankie. Im also a preschool teacher, and a student completing my final year of Bachelor of Education birth-12 years. I have over 10 years experience in long day care centres and preschools, but none of that prepared me for the crazy ride of motherhood! Although some days seem long, the years are short, and Frankie reminds me how important it is to slow down, sniff those flowers, follow the butterfly, and look around to see the beauty in what's around us.
Hello families, my name is Rachel! While I am not yet ‘mum’ to any of my own little wild things, I take my job of Super Aunty very seriously. I have recently relocated to the Gold Coast where I am finishing my Bachelor degree in Health Science before undertaking a Master of Speech Pathology next year. I have over 10 years experience in babysitting and private nannying and have found that children have just as much to teach us (if not more), as we have to teach them. I aim to make parents feel completely at ease, trusting that their most important creation is in patient and understanding hands. I look forward to meeting you and getting to know my new community.
Hi I'm Jess, I emigrated from the uk in 2015 with my husband to be and my 2 young children Mia and Max. I have become so settled here in Pottsville, it's a great community and I love being outside with my children exploring and learning new things about this amazing country. I am a qualified teacher and have over 10 years experience working with children. I chose this career as everyday brings something new, it is so rewarding in many ways but most of all its great to just have fun and be silly!
Hi, I'm Miriam. I am a mum to one little girl, Anouk. When we are not gallivanting around the Byron shire, I work as a sign language interpreter at a local Steiner school. I really enjoy the diversity that kids bring to the table; their honesty, thoughtfulness and imaginations are definitely qualities I try to learn from. I have been involved with kids on and off since I was a teenager, from babysitting, to assisting in day care centers, to working as a full time live-in nanny. I love being a part of Little Wild Things, and getting to know new families along the way.
Hello, I am Samala. I am a mother of two beautiful teenage boys and a part time nanny who enjoys and loves working with children each day! I have lived in the surrounds of Byron Bay for 18 years but originally ventured over from New Zealand. I am calm and patient, can care for your children with love and kindness, provide activities to keep them stimulated and keep a tidy house to come home to. In my spare time I enjoy relaxing with my children on the beach, meditation, a healthy active lifestyle, travel and fine eating. Look forward to meeting you and your families x
Hi Familie's my name is Sam and I am mum to one teenager Noah. I'm a Diploma trained Preschool teacher at a wonderful community Preschool where I have worked for 12 years now. I absolutely adore my job and the lovely people work alongside. I will be starting my graduate certificate of Autism Studies in Semester 1 at Griffith University as my job requires me to work with children with additional needs. This is a passion of mine and I love to learn as much as I can.
I'm very excited to be a part of the Little Wild Things family and am looking forward to meeting lots of wonderful families and their little ones.
In my spare time I enjoy Photography, travel, lawn bowls, spending time with my family and I'm a foodie tragic :)
